Scott wins by one at home with Pleasant limited and Smith out. The question then becomes who you think is the better running back and would have had more of an impact on the score. To me it's a no brainer that it's Smith which is why I think it's correct to put NCC ahead of Scott.

Deondre should be starting in my eyes, London is having a streaky season. He's very underrated, hard to tackle, hard runner.

If both teams were healthy today, I'd take the Eagles by 2 TD's. Everyone is quick to give NewCath the benefit of the doubt because Smith didn't play against Scott. Yet you fail to take into account that Deondre Pleasant for Scott was limited the first 3 games of the season. Smith didn't do much against Campbell and Belfry so how do we know he would have had success against Scott? Because he averaged 10 yards per carry against a bad Harrison Cty team? The same week Pleasant averaged 17 yrds per carry against a better opponent but that doesn't get mentioned.

 

If you want to say with Scott's injuries, NewCath is better you won't get an argument from me but if you are using the 1st game of the year as your proof then I will beg to differ.

They were using him on defense and kept him out of the offense to keep him from damaging the ankle more. His injury was a bad one to have for someone to carry the ball.

I have to agree with you on this !! If Scott was healthy they still get the edge. I still say if Tucker would not of gotten hurt in the first half of the conner game , Scott would be undefeated right now and holycross would of struggled more than they did. But injuries happen and are part of the game so Conner gets the edge and as far as Scott and Newcath Scott won head to head . They should be over Newcath.

The tough thing with Scott is their records the last couple years look to be a product of their schedule. Last year, they start off strong against weak teams and then lose their games against the better quality teams. This year is starting to shape up the same way with the one exception being the New Cath game. So people say try to explain how Scott beat New Cath and Smith not being there is an easy explanation. Looking at the rest of their schedule, if they truly are a top 10 team they should win every game except Simon Kenton. It does look like they will win a playoff game, but round 2 very well could be it for Scott. If that is the way it works out, that is a good year and another step forward for the program. If Scott manages to win a round 3 playoff game, that will be a surprise and another improvement.

Scott has done a pretty good job of spreading the ball around, and getting guys the ball in space. 5 different guys have more than 12 carries this year, and Fitgerald is on pace to throw for over 1000 yards, which hasn't happened at Scott in years. For comparisons sake, look at SK, a team people consider balanced offensively. Only 3 guys with more than 12 carries, and Scott's top two receivers both have more catches and more yards. I'm not saying Scott is better than SK offensively, but only pointing out that your off base with that comment, and really don't understand how Scott's offense works.

You better take another look at SK stats. SK has 4 receivers with over 9 catches. 3 rushers with over 200 yards, Powell has over 800 yards.

Easy there.....wasn't doing a deep comparison. Just using number of touches and how Scott is spreading the ball around. Never even mentioned the yards the SK guys have as that wasn't the point.
