Wasn't a shot at you or your kid Highlands has struggled on defense for several years. I was at the Highlands/Warren Central game a few years ago. Highlands had no defense that game.

I know Highlands ran the score up on SK 81 to 0 about 20 some years ago.

After what I witnessed this evening, things could be really, really interesting. This will not be a running clock and I sure hope the SK kids are feeling their oats like their biggest cheerleader is.

 

And 76-0 is what you want to harp on SKfan#1? I would be more worried about the teams in my class that I have to beat in order to advance in the playoffs. I have a sneaking suspicion the Birds play with a little more bounce in their step this week.

I really hope you're right, but we've heard the same thing last week leading up to the game and it was still the same ole same ole.

Why does the content of this gripe session sound like a bunch of has been "wonna bee's" ? Is this nonsense really that important to you guys ? While it's true that Highlands Football has dominated in NKY the last dozen or so years.... what does that have to do with this group of kids. I can truly understand that some "coaching staffs'" would like a little payback for years of abuse, however, I'm quite sure that this weeks preparation hasn't been based on what happened in years past. Heck, most of these kids wouldn't even know about what has happened years ago. Unless, they had older brothers that played against Highlands. I for one can truly respect all the hard work that has been put in by all Coaching Staffs & Players in the NKY Region. Rest assured, sports is a roller coaster, and has many ups' and downs. What matters most is how adversity is handled. That is what speaks volumes of a good coaching staff(s), and football program(s). Everybody please take a deep breath, because some of these football players will be playing football for the last time this season. I believe that they have earned your respect. Some times you just have to let go, but hey, that's just me !
