Most talented Ryle team?

Featured Replies

Best start if not tied for best start in young school history, is this the most talented team ryle has produced?

Nope. The Travis Elliot team was pretty good.

I think the jury is still out. We won't know how good they are until the Cooper game. I think Ryles next 2 games are against winless teams.

The 09 or 2010 team with Hemple and Elliot.

Maybe, not enough known to say they are better than the years with Hempel and Elliot.

2006 team was awfully good.

The late 90's had some great teams, but Highlands was in the Frisk/Lorenzen era. Ryle ran into a buzz saw during the playoffs.

We will see. Play calling is better with this team

I am partial to the Gray/Murray team.

Having seen that one and the 2010 team, i would say 2010 by far.

How quickly the 2006 State Runner-up team is forgotten with likes of Murray, Gray, and Morgan is forgotten.

I watched them against T in that title game. They had no chance against that T squad.

The 2010 team made a much better game of it against a far better T squad. 2010 was better.

2009 team had Elliot, Hempel, Boggs, Lonkard, Eubank, Deion Mullins, Tanner Teepen, Tate Nicholas, Fugate, Thibodeau, Court Mace, Vollet, Schild and Funk they would beat this years Ryle team.

Unless they make it to the title game and win then no. Not because a record or playoff depth is always key in analyzing a team but because this year is not a normal year for NKY football. With the exception that all roads for Ryle will lead to Male or Trinity.

First of all I was at both the same games in 2006 and the 2010. Nobody in this State could touch Trinity and especially trying to run the ball with 8 in the box like Ryle did in that title game. In 2010 the team A) Had a much better QB and B) changed the game plan to put in a mixture of spread the ball around with the pass. 2nd, the thread was comparing the CURRENT Ryle team vs. ??? NOT the 2010 team which was arguably a great team as well vs. 2006. Whether the score was 41-7 (2006) in the Title game or 28-9 (2010) State Semi-final at home both were substantial losses. My point was that the 2006 that MADE it to the State Finals should be in the topic conversation when comparing Ryle teams vs. this CURRENT team.
