Having seen that one and the 2010 team, i would say 2010 by far.

 

I won't compare the 06/10 teams but I played against that 06 team when those guys were juniors and they were VERY GOOD. Their biggest problem was they didn't run a balanced offense despite having some of the best WR's in the area that nobody knew about.

 

Nothing against this year's Ryle squad but they wouldn't beat either the 06 or 2010 teams. 06 team would run all over them with Gray and Murray and the 10 team was simply more talented.

Ryle has had some good teams and I have watched a lot of them. By far 2010 was the best though, IMO because of a tougher schedule than 2006 and better players.

The Talent really lived to its potential in 2010. Big line, good QB, defense was strong, and one of the most talent RB to ever go thru NKy.

 

2010 was also the first Ryle team to beat Highlands in over 10 years and ended there 37-0 win streak.

In 2010 all the NKY teams in 6a had a lot of talent that year as well.

Ryle finished 112th Nationally that year.

How quickly the 2006 State Runner-up team is forgotten with likes of Murray, Gray, and Morgan is forgotten.

No doubt! I will take that 2006 team all day. My memory isn't great but I will probably take player by player, position by position the 2006 team. Outside of Qb, but remember the 2006 offense was totally different, in a way.

I watched them against T in that title game. They had no chance against that T squad.

 

The 2010 team made a much better game of it against a far better T squad. 2010 was better.

I saw both and I think in the second half of 2010 Trinity called off the dogs big time. My conspiracy theory then and now was/is, they were trying to keep it from being a blow out because they were wanting to set up a regular season series. That is when T was starting to struggle to find in state opponents.

I would agree, I think the Travis Elliot team overall was better.

Those teams were great with some awesome athletes. I do think this 2015 team could make a run as they may not have the superstar players those teams had but they are extremely deep and unlike 06/09/10 they run and extremely balanced offense. Something you need to do to compete with great teams. So the jury is out in my mind and if they make a run then in a few years well be remembering them.
