Is CovCath half as good as last year?

Speak for Covcath. Don't speak for Highlands. They should schedule big Ohio schools in years where they have top talent. The Elder Highlands series has been great games every year. Highlands has beaten Elder, Cincy X, and has had good competitive games with Colerain and Moeller. In years when there's high talent, those games are much better to play than drilling Covcath and Ryle by 50+. I don't believe it's any coincidence those schools aren't on Highlands schedule this year. It's also no coincidence either that more N.Ky. Schools agreed to play them.

That's not true. Your a little full of yourselves if that's what you truly think.

Wow. You are one arrogant Bird. I don't think Highlands has beaten Elder or Moeller in a while. He didn't even insult Highlands, he was talking about NKY teams THIS season. Nobody from NKY can take on big Ohio teams this season.

The coincidences

He said it's not a coincidence that HHS is not playing a big Cincy school this year and it is not a coincidence that some NKY teams that historically don't play HHS are playing them this year. HHS knew it was not going to have a really good team this year (not playing Elder or X) and the other NKY teams thought it too...

How is he being full of himself by stating that? I agree with him BTW on both points.

Puhleeeeeeese! Get off your high horse. You act as if all schools keep tabs on HHS talent level as if it is some sort of NFL scouting combine.

Hoghlands win win state last year and now you are acting as if everyone knew Highlands would get beat by Cooper etc this year? Do me a favor and go back to the prediction thread leading up to that game. Not even Highlands fans thought they would be down or lose.

The predictions were like 87 in favor of HHS and 20 in favor of Cooper.

Get off off your high horse please. Outside of your fantasy world no one really gives a crap what HHS talent level is going to look like from year to year.

Again, HHS win state last year. Doesn't look like that "scared anyone away from scheduling Highlands"

^ that.

No it wasn't. If you don't think those kids want to win that's absurd.

Agreed.. They played with plenty of passion against Ryle. High School football is mostly about skill players and who has the better skill players. CCH has played three very good teams with better skill players than they have. They will be fine once they mature. Has nothing to do with passion or coaching.

Depends on if you think 2011 is recent. Check the Elder Highlands scores and see if they've had tight games. 2013 is a controversial call at the end from a Highlands win. All the games have been tight games. Many Highlands fans felt going into this year that this may not be a team thats at the level of the previous 8. Ryle did step up for years and play Highlands even 2x a year for awhile. Ryle abruptly dropped the series and left Highlands scrambling for a date a few years ago. You'd have to ask Ryle why. Im sure everyone in Ft. Thomas preferred a game in Ft. Thomas or Union over driving to places like Paducah.

Waiting to see the same people question the "FOOLS" who decided to move CCH up to 5A.

Didn't people on here say the same thing about Highlands last year?

No fun whipping Holmes and Scott. Travel to Mason or Bourbon County? This move actually makes sense.

I'd imagine that We are in 5A based in enrollment.

Upper end of 4A
