Could be a winning move for him.

Could be a winning move for him.

Well that just guaranteed my vote is going to a third party. He actually had a chance at it before now.

I think that is a gutsy call for him in this race and one, in my opinion, he should not have made. I think most of the voting electorate will gravitate to the side of supporting the rule of law. We'll see how it all plays out, I guess. My sphere of reference is Louisville. I recognize that some folks out in the state may have a different view.

Smart business decision. Should win in a landslide.

You do know what state we live in right?

I would hate to see this become the defining, decisive issue in this race as some have intimated it will be.

When I click on the link I do not see any comments by Mr Bevin.

What is he supporting?

"I absolutely support her willingness to stand on her First Amendment rights," he said. "Without any question I support her."

Without more to the quote I am not sure if he supports the actions she is taking or not. Those quotes alone are intentionally vague. He may have expanded upon the quote. I am not sure.

In a state like KY, it will be.

In a state like KY, it will be.

As a state KY voted against it when it was on the ballot.

Could be a winning move for him.

I'd say of the few people that I've discussed this with probably 95% think that she is wrong and should be removed. I don't see this helping Ole "Maine Matt" in any way. I thought he would lose by 10% now thinking I may be too low.

By a large majority.

By a large majority.

True, but that was over ten years ago. Look how quickly views in American society have changed toward gay marriage in that time frame. I will agree that KY is more conservative on the issue than the rest of the nation but I think there is a decent amount of people who back in 2004 (I think 2004) who voted against gay marriage in KY but today probably don't rank that high on their list of areas to worry about politically.

Either way, Bevin won't win. GOP did not pick the best candidate this time like they often don't.
