Surely they had a back up plan knowing she would stand her ground.

Once she is in jail I'm wondering what happens next. Will the people in her office be able to issue licenses?

As soon as an elected official cites "under God's authority" as justification for not doing their job they should immediately be removed from said job.

That's scary stuff.

I don't know if I ever looked at my marriage license. What exactly does one look like, and what does it say?

No clue.

My guess is the job would fall to the judge.

Honestly, I'm thinking she is a little fashion-forward.

I was expecting this:

When the gay couple said the SCOTUS has ruled Davis said "the Supreme Court made a RULING (emphasis added) - they do NOT make law."

What?

She said she's waiting "until they get the statutes straightened out."

She said this could all be remedied if the Governor would do what he should. No idea what that is.

As I have said before, legislature has to get together and put a marriage law on the books in KY. Currently there is not one, as SCOTUS ruled it invalid.

She is obviously implying that God is the Supreme Ruler.

^ A federal judge tells you to do something, then the SCOTUS tells you that they deny your request, you have lost. If she plans on waiting it will be in a jail cell.

That won't matter to her anyway. She has stated many times it's her religious freedom. It doesn't matter what the state legislators say, she will still use her excuses.

A conference call? Seriously?

A conference call? Seriously?

Last ditch effort by Judge Bunning to relay the seriousness of her actions and make sure she understands the consequences.
