Reffed a game tonight that went down to the wire.

 

My partner and I got changed after the game and were walking out of the gym. A grandma calls out to me and says "Can I tell you something? " Here we go. "Yes, ma'am."

 

"Next time you tell a player to stop pushing can you also tell the other player to stop hitting him in the stomach."

 

Now at this point there's only one answer to that. "Yes, ma'am. I will." Because no one out-polites me with folks who are my elder (insert joke here) I then say "Thank you." She gave me a look and then said "Thank YOU...." I take two steps and hear "....for nothing."

 

Laughed out loud and kept walking. I admire her support for her grandson. Of course, this was the same lady wearing me out when I was in front of the stands during a throw-in. Before my partner even handed the ball to the thrower she was yelling "THREE SECONDS!" over and over.

 

Do not underestimate the passion of grandmothers.

It it weren't for interactions with fans and coaches it would be sort of boring.

Huddleston did not play,salter did play. Highlands is a tough team. Ahlfeld is really stepping his game up and what a great young man.

Yes by 2 they were down 3 with about 50 seconds left and centers hit a three to tie it up then they had a defensive stop and There big man Conner had and one and that was pretty much it

It was more like they cut his father. But Turkeyfoot is kind of a different world. Turkeyfoot doesn't care to develop or win in my eyes.

Another great game against these two teams. Down to the wire as usual. Wouldn't have it any other way.

 

Camp Ernst had a great balanced attack and everyone contributed and really showed grit. Battling back from a late deficit. They have a good coach and are well disciplined and got solid contributions from the bench. Kevin Center's hit a big 3 to tie the game with only a few mins left and really swung the momentum.

 

Issac Sulter is continuing to play better and better. Hopefully the hand continues to heal. He was more aggressive and hit some good shots when they needed them. He has the potential to really dominate a game if he wants to. He has the talent.

 

Hunter Ahlfeld has continued to impress and seems to be making great strides this year. From the tip they tried to face guard him to take him out of the game but didn't have anyone that could guard him off the bounce. Seemed to have ton of steals as well.

 

Still no Huddleston, hopefully back after the holidays?

 

Finally get Jack Delagrange back next week I'm hearing.
