Nothing firm as far as scholarship offers at the present time to my knowledge but he has had correspondences with schools as far west as Stanford and more locally Louisville. Several other schools, such as Vandy and Notre Dame, have called inquiring information about him from the school but the previous two are probably the ones taking more keen of an interest. Specialists are probably not the highest priority of a power conference's wish list at this point. Tyler is also a very bright young man which would potentially open up doors on the academic end to get him to college should an athletic scholarship not be available. He has tremendous upside with additional work on his mechanics as this year will make only his 3rd year kicking a football.

Tyler Pack also has the state record as he hit a 60 yard FG a couple of years ago. This kid is ranked very high with many respected scouting services when it come to kickers (I've seen him as high as 3rd in the nation with some). If he works on his mechanics a bit who knows how far he will go, but there is no doubt he has tons of power in his leg.

Was that the controversial FG?

What do you mean by controversial? If I recall, it was kicked on first down following a fair catch from a punt. Ball went through cleanly both in the eyes of the refs and on video. The only controversy I can think of is that it might have been 61 yards as the ball was spotted just on the other side of the 50 yard line.

I can't remember exactly what it was now. I do recall a big discussion on here about it. Something about intentionally losing yards to kick a long FG or something along those lines.

Pack had a long attempt earlier that year, maybe 58 yards or something, in a game where JC was dominating a game and Matney had the offense intentionally lose yardage so Pack could kick the long FG. It raised a lot of stink on here.
