Bath county is awful, congrats to Fairview but Lewis and Bath are two very bad football teams.

Come on man, I know you have an ax, but do you have to throw the Lewis and Bath kids under the bus to grind it.

No surprise here, the school in Westwood will have a good season, better than a lot think. I was somewhat surprised that the Eagle defense gave up that much. Then again, I don't know how the scoring went and / or if it was a case of substituting early or not.

Dude what's your problem? Bath played very well in the 1st half and lead for a stretch twice. Fairview made plays in the 3rd quarter and opened a lead. I don't know what game you watched but I saw a Fairview team that's pretty good and I saw a Bath County team that learned a lot and will have a winning season.

Agreed, plus, just maybe that things are being done the right way for the first time in quite a few years. A lot of problems, embarrassment and false successes are gone. A couple of those pieces are left but the most guilty are out.

Bath Co now has not one but two quality coaches (Poynter and Petersen) on the sideline and they have the kids in shape and believing in themselves. They played the Eagles straight up for a half when everyone said it would be a halftime running clock. They will learn from their mistakes in the 2nd half and I look for them to win 6-7 games on their schedule and get to the post season.

No axe just saying I watched both over last two weeks and not very good they play hard and try but overall simply not good what is wrong with an opinion. I'll keep them mostly to myself from now on but I have just as much right to post as you do. Good luck

So, you quoted yourself and said you have as much right to post as they (essentially you) do.

Reminds me of a terrific psychology ditty:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

I'm schizophrenic,

And so am I.

Bath County was not good last season, but they were young and had some nice looking players. Adding a new coach like Poynter should be very beneficial and it looks like they gave a decent performance. I suspect they'll continue to improve throughout the year. Best of luck to them!
