Nippert Looks Amazing

Was down on the field for a scrimmage today as UC hit the turf for the first time in almost 21 months. The new structure looks incredible towering over the old girl. Can't wait to see how loud the place can get in 2 weeks...

The old box went from 30 to 30 and was about the same height as what is now the 2nd level in the pic. It really is amazing to look at from field level...

Nope. The only room to really add anything was the press box area, and they added what will cover the cost of renovation within the next 10 years. Adding high end suites and club seating was the only option worth renovation...

How is the concourse areas? They were a major problem. Lines for food drink and restrooms blocked people walking back to seats. Was a giant cluster mess!!!!

Completely remodeled with new concessions and restrooms added. They also added access to the upper deck from the plaza to ease congestion. It should be much better...

Do they still let the students in during non-football times? When I went there (many moons ago) kids would walk through there (as a shortcut) to go to class. Heck, can't even count the number of times we shagged flies/fielded grounders or played touch football down on the field in the evenings. And then, of course, there were the days when the ladies would be working on their tans.
