Just remember X fans down year, up year or whatever excuse you want to use that school in little Independence came to your house and took it to you!!!!

Yes, and Dixie Heights beat Trinity in the playoffs of 2004, which is a bit more impressive than winning a scrimmage.

It's possible for large schools to have down years, sometimes it just happens. Which doesn't mean SK's team wasn't impressive, but it's hardly the same as beating St. X when they are considered one of the top teams in the state.

The season will tell. Once we start getting into games we'll have a better idea how significant this was.

"Little Independence". LOL

How many boys at SK again? Please- they'd better field a decent team with those numbers.

They way every one is talking, SK better beat everyone on their schedule by 30 and win the state championship in a blowout....any thing less is an underachievement.

Not everyone, just uk#1fan. I fully expect SK to make a deep playoff run because their side of the bracket is SOFT.

X has 179 kids on their roster and 30 plus Seniors it is not a down year!

You don't want it to be a down year for X because it makes SK look better. Fact is X has three returning starters, and a new offense. Most teams that keep their same coordinators have Jr's and Sr's that have played and practice in their existing systems. X has had a few months with these players to learn a new offense, so X will be vulnerable right now against good teams. I would put money that SK will not want to play X at the end of the year, so I would not put to much stock in this scrimmage, because X is still working out some kinks.

Not everyone....just one. The rest of us have a little better understanding and expectations of our teams in NKY

With that said and knowing the playoff brackets, anything less than a State Championship game for SK will only show us they are the same team we've known them to be for a long time. If they make the finals then we will all be cheering for them to bring home the title.

Habit or a Louisville homer?

Does it matter? Until SK wins some games that count, they will still be grouped as one of many NK teams that can't win the big ones. One scrimmage victory does not a season make.
