BigVMan23
Anyone remember this case? Was listening to 590 WVLK this morning and they were talking to a prosecuting attorney from NKY and he was talking about this case. I had never heard of it. Transgender "woman" stabs guy 70+ times, then slits his throat, after they had been partying together at a private residence. I didn't catch all the interview, sounded interesting. Anyone know the story?

lawildcat
I remember reading about this case. I also remember thinking that 72 stab wounds is not self-defense.
oldgrappler
Are you sure the link is to the correct story? When I clicked on it all I saw was a mug shot of Ozzy Osbourne.
ThrillVille Cardinal51
Unless it was the Austin Powers Vs. fembot scenario, 72 stab wounds is absurd.
SportsGuy41017
The transgender was not defending herself, hence the sentence.
Hellbird
If a transgender woman comes up to a man and slaps him, is it still wrong for the man to hit her back? Things that make you go Hmmmm
ggclfan
Only HB could come up with that one.... I say no...man has every right to smack him/her back...

SSC
I remember reading about this case. I also remember thinking that 72 stab wounds is not self-defense. If you chose a paring knife and all the other knives were available for your protection and a person you think is assaulting you is bigger than you how many is the magic number to stop? The throat slit was the one that she couldn't recover from IMO not the 72 stabs. I think with the adrenaline of the situation you could get 72 "stabs" in rather quickly. Trunk, back, buttocks, legs, neck? Sorry, but I call bull on that one.

I never said I disagree with the verdict or anything like that. What is the correct number of stabs with a paring knife to stop what you consider an attack? I know more about this case than most. But, if I feel threatened, as I'm sure everyone here would agree with, I'd rather have too many than too few. Because too few means you probably wouldn't make it. I'm not for violence, but if it is required from me, it will be heavy handed.

I thought you were taking the side that it could be self defense...him claiming it was self defense it what I say "bull" to. I think the number of stab wounds and the locations (all over the body) more than go to prove it wasn't self defense. Dude got mad and went crazy on him, for whatever reason.
