We keep it up we will have all Ex Ashland Coaches here....I dont believe that is the Answer.

There is no way that Evans will get turned down for the Position and them give it to Love.

I am not sure that Mike Davis is the answer, but would be nice to see some true BC pride brought back to the County.

Yeah and Love is one I don't think we would want to get away from us either :thumb:

I don't see them turning down Evans and going outside but who knows. The wait'n and guess'n is going to bring everyone out of the woodwork with a viewpoint.

I think Love would be an excellent coach at Boyd, I would really hate to see him leave Ashland. I still think Evans(another former Ashland assistant) should get the nod.

Whoever gets it I just hope and pray they get involved in the middle school level and straighten that up or there won't be enough ball players to bother with a high school ball team.

As usual Woody, you are correct! We don’t want to lose Love.

I wish BC well in this – but go find your own coaches. :D

Qualified? McPeek has had multiple Head Coaching jobs including the Head Coach of the new arena team. Lee Evans was one of the main cogs under Vic Marsh. Jeff Frasure used to be the defensive coordinator at Harrison Co and helped at Lawrence Co. Bill Tom Ross was one of the best coaches in Eastern KY through the 90's. Chad Tackett is one of the top young coaches in the state now the Head Coach at Fairview. I think they have hired some pretty qualified coaches at Boyd Co in the past couple of tenures.

I'm guessing you have never coached by the way you go after the coaches on here. I do give you credit for at least talking to the guys face to face if you do. It's not an easy job and I really thought Dane and his staff raised the bar at Boyd Co while he was there. That's not an easy District or Region! I will say that it's nice to see some passion on here from a Boyd Co poster as it doesn't happen very often.

Jeff Frasure, formerly of Russell and Morehead St. University????

If so, he's a real stand-up guy, heck of a football player, and I would assume very capable of being a quality head coach.

That's the same Jeff.

I would say either, Lee Evans or TJ Maynard or even Jeff Frasure would all be good choices.

McPeek's arena team would be done by the start of practice, plus he's a coach at Lawrence at the moment.

UKCATSFAN, I don't think McPeek is at Lawrence at the moment, he left there two years ago. McPeek's nephew Nate also could get a look at too.

I heard tonight from a Ashland football player that Tony Love told the boys that he has applied for the job:cool:

Darn it. Guess it's not a surprise the locals apply though since Boyd only seems to hire from other local schools
