that's what I heard too. They're "suppose" to make the announcement on Friday.

Lee Evans

:thumb: Coach Evans is the man

Two things:

1) I hate to see Ashland lose Lance Evans, as he is an EXCELLENT athlete, and a great young kid.

2) I wish Lee Evans all the luck in the world at BC. I can honestly say that I don't know anyone that has ever said that he was anything less than an honest man with good intentions. Top that off with a great work ethic, and BC has made a nice pick. :thumb:

Pretty solid hire for BC imo.

Probably could not find a more honest Man than Lee Evans. No one is ever sure how someone will be as a Head Coach, especially with no head coaching experience. I believe Lee was the Defensive Coach for the last couple of years, which honestly was our weakest spot. Hopefully that was because we didnt have the athletes and not the formations. Which also brings up the question of how much Offensive experience he has? All in all I believe Lee will be fair and should be able to get the job done. Good luck to Lee and the Lions!

Will we see the Tomcats, circa 1980/80's in some ways you think?

dive/veer option, 52 Defense

I just hope he coaches to what he feels comfortable about and not because someone else wants him to do something. He will definetly be short-handed with athletes for a few years, but hopefully can put some successful seasons together.:thumb:

Congrats to Coach Evans!

He is a great person and an excellent coach, love to see him get this oppurtunity but it's too bad Ashland lost him a few years back.

I was in Lex all day Thursday (actually just got back, gotta love a couple days in Lex) but I hear they had a nice lil 7 on 7 with East Carter. I really hate that I missed it too cause it sounded like the boys looked fine. I heard he had a different QB in there that was doing a good job. I wish Evans the best and hope everything I've heard about him being a fair honest man shows through in his coaching and that he makes his own decissions and sticks to em. Boyd needs a good strong coach that isn't afraid to do what's right for the team instead of what makes the parents feel good.

I think it would be nice to see some old style football tried out for a change.
