I think like most people, he thinks the silly part is anyone suggesting he should have gotten the job over LeMaster, and then trying to throw in that resume shouldn't matter. Haha! I really don't mind that nonsense, but what I do hate is going beyond that by claiming a bunch of unfounded fabricated stories in am attempt to somehow tarnish LeMaster's reputation. None of it can be backed-up factually and I know for a fact it's false. Like I said before, I think the best thing is for everyone to jump on board before you lose the best thing that's ever happened to Ashland. By the way, I agree with the "what have you done for me lately," comment because apparently they have been under his coaching and have underachieved. Most assistants learn how to coach from the head coaches they're around and watch do the job. So I'm sure the administration was very aware of that, and knew the results would not change. I think the baseball community from Ashland should be thanking the administration for making the decision they made, especially if they care anything about winning.

Apparently you don't. Lemaster is not under attack to begin with. Nobody is attempting tarnish anything. It is the baggage in tow that is really the subject of stating that Ashland obviously did not do their homework very well. I offered situations where they shopped themselves to, as have other. You said it never happened. You said Paintsville would have jumped all over the chance to get him. Well that job has come open twice in the last 7 or 8 years, and once prior to Adkins coming back out of retirement. Didn't happen there, I assure you. I think you know better than anyone how much of what you said is made up. Jobs that were open in the past are irrelevant due to he was already coaching little league and had no interest. Once again, the Pikeville remark is completely fabricated and can't be confirmed by anyone.

Uh, he was coaching Little League when he took the Ashland job and priorly solicited to everyone else. Was he not? That is a way beyond ridiculous comeback. Do you not realize how stupid that sounds?

Fact of the matter is, it will take Lemaster 2-3 years to bring the program back to contention. If the supporters expect him to contend year 1 they are setting him up for failure. He will be pitching starved this year and will have to depend on kids being crafty and good defense to get through. The need to develop arms is huge.

On top of that, it appears he may be bringing an assistant with him. Again, why should a head coach be able to choose their own staff. That's just an absurd idea.

 

Hopefully the grandkids or whomever doesn't come with him or I'd expect some of you may have an aneurism. This thread has become ridiculous, when it should have been a welcoming of a new coach.
