I really think Ryle is the wildcard in this years list.

We really don't know what they are yet. I think the only reason I put them ahead of Cooper is striclty because of the hype surrounding their QB. That was it. Cooper beat them last year and Ryle arguably lost the most. cooper returns basically their entire starting team except for QB and Cooper's defense is better of the two teams imo. Cooper's only downside is at the QB position imo. If they can't get the ball downfield they can be hurting on offense. I think Ryle and Cooper are a coin flip realistically.

 

Cooper returns just about the entire starting team, the same team that beat Ryle last year and Ryle lost more skill players in the receiving corp. so this will be a fun season. ryle could be the 2nd best team in NKY or the 6th.

Kind of surprises me that u put Scott that low . There are a couple teams Scott plays this season Newcath,and Dixie are both games I would not be shocked to see Scott come out on Top !

I think there are a lot fewer question marks around SK (and Highlands, but that is stating the obvious, regardless of what was lost to graduation) than there are with CovCath, Ryle, Cooper, Dixie, et al. I hope I'm wrong, but I think HHS and SK are much the best this year. As much as we all get on tilt on SK due to their most loyal and vocal supporter, I believe this is a very good year for them, and I'm just not sure Cooper or Ryle will have enough to knock them off. That said, Ryle and their new QB are, as Hellbird accurately termed it, the real wildcard in NKY this year.

Could Conner be a team considered to be a "wildcard" this year? They return all of their skill-players on offense, and the O line looks to be bigger and stronger this year. I guess the prevailing question for them, as is typically the case, will they be able to stop anyone on defense?

That's the annual question. Terrible start last year but seemed to improve as the year went on.

I think Padgett makes them dangerous offensively, without question. Have to see them stop anyone before they hit the mythical wildcard status for me.

Is he not the incumbent at QB? Didn't think it was an option. I was / am looking forward to watching him with a year under his belt.
