No Highlands??? What is that all about?

Should be some good games, but I wouldn't read too much into who wins or loses. Some teams are playing to win, and others just to evaluate the talent and not worried about the final score. I am a little surprised there are only 12 teams in the A group. I know coaches can request where to be placed at, but I am wondering if that is all that wanted to be in the A group, or some go moved down to even out the scheduling.

I do not get why there are so few in Group A either, can't be to even things out, there are 36 teams in Group B and 20 in Group C.

I think teams got placed based upon their request. Not sure why teams wanted levels below their talent and ability but everyone has different goals for the weekend.

Any updates from bluegrass games? Boone went 2-0-1. Tied Henderson Co 0-0, beat Tates Creek 3-0 and North Hardin 2-0. Heard Simon beat Brossart then lost to Lou Manual. Any others?

Mercer Co. beat Madisonville 8-0 and beat Cooper 1-0.

Central Hardin is who Boone played not North

Cooper won their other 2 matches, I think both were by a score of 5-0.

SK Varsity lost to Louisville Male 3-4, Beat Bishop Brossart 1-0, and tied Graves County 1-1. The SK JV team won all three of thier games beating Woodford County 4-2, Oldham County 3-1, and Rowen County 5-0.

I saw the second half of this game and Boone dominated possession of the ball. I thought Tates Creek would be a little tougher but maybe it is as someone said, their coach was trying personnel out, though I don't remember a lot of substituting going on.

Owensboro Catholic beat GRC 4-0; Owensboro Catholic beat DuPont Manual 4-2, DuPont Manual Beat GRC 7-0, and NCC Beat GRC 4-1. Is there a better team in the state than Owensboro Catholic? Very impressive.

OC is very strong. Manual lost starting keeper and a key defender. However up top they are amazingly strong. OC may be one to watch.
