It will be interesting to see how DeSales #s translate into overall depth. Will they platoon, or have a HEAVY rotation of players? 86 players or so is a ton of guys for 2A.

You are correct regarding the 6A bracket. ANY team to make it to the semi finals will have to have one heck of a season...that would include the Rocks, Male, X and the rest of the gang. Horrible the way the bracket is set up.

 

Get used to it. The rotating first round pairings for 6A will likely be a thing of the past. Gotta set up those natural rivalries for the NKY 6A schools. It's not their fault that means the earliest they could play a REAL 6A power school would be the state championship. :ohbrother: Unfortunately we all know what's happened in the championship games when NKY 6A schools have faced real championship caliber teams. :eek:

The tournament should be seeded so we get the Very Best championship matchup possible regardless of where the teams are from, but we all know that will never happen so we will continue to get lopsided 6A championships w/ an exception every now and then like Scott County v Meade County in '13. But we all know I'm beating a deadhorse, not meaning to hijack the thread either.... Back to the rankings!!

It would be ideal, but given the geography of the state, would not be practical from a travel standpoint, especially in the early rounds.

 

I think a good compromise would be to seed from the semifinal round on, or the final 8, and play on neutral sites.

I have always been a fan of Neutral Sites in the Semi-Finals and could get behind seeding like that.

WKU, Murray State, EKU, KWC, Louisville, Lindsey Wilson, UK, Campbellsville, Pikeville, etc

Probably couldnt get UK, WKU, and UL on a Friday night in the middle of the season.

 

EKU, Murray, and Morehead would be questionable but potentially doable.

 

KWC, Lindsey Wilson, Campbellsville, Pikeville, and Georgetown for sure.

It rotates with whichever Region is set to "Host", each venue host a Friday and Saturday game.
