It appears that all we have left are cowards with regards to standing up for moral and ethical behavior in this country.

I'm a coward, so what. You are annoying. There was are all equal in the eyes of the Lord.

No worries, you can keep your condescending prayers to yourself. :thumb:

The moral high ground is a decaying pile of bones.

I don't agree with this on moral grounds...but legally I figured this was coming and would be the ruling.

Are we doing that with this ruling?

If our country fails to stand on a moral high ground, then we will be run over by our enemies.

I'll pass on the lecture about moral high ground from you... Thanks though.

Maybe to your morals, but not theirs. Everyone has their own set of morals. Just because you don't agree with them doesn't make them wrong. They are standing up for what they believe to be moral behavior. You're a coward in their eyes.

I have several gay friends and relatives and to a person they are among the most moral, ethical, and compassionate people I know. They are an example for all of us.

And most of them already have the strength to pray for the people who oppose them.

Great decision!

And yet you quote the Bible to others on here.

Rule #2

Maybe a sad day in YOUR America...

I have no problem with it. Good for them.

You may not see it, but the USA just fell a few more miles down into the abyss.

What? The Lord, in my humble opinion, has nothing to do with this. I believe in Evolution. Homosexuality is an inherited trait. (Yes, I know, we haven't found the gay gene.) I would say that a gay couple raising a child with love, respect, and compassion is closer to Christ's message than the hillbillies I see yelling at their kids at Target.

If you are calling me a homophobe, then you are completely wrong.

If many of you call yourselves Christians, then you need to read your Bible again.

I am going to find it very hard to pray for someone who believes in rights for gay marriage.

I will have to ask God for the strength to do so.

Since I am happy with this decision does that mean that you would be so kind as to direct your prayers elsewhere?

I'll pass on the lecture about moral high ground from you... Thanks though.

We all get to meet Our Maker someday.
