I'll play Powerball sometimes if I have a few extra bucks when I go get Saturday papers at the store.

We have a group at work that put up $2 a week, been doing it for about 10 years. 4 or 5 years ago jackpot was HUGE and we had 4 of the 5 numbers and the Powerball. We thought we won the 2nd prize ( I think it's a million dollars), however we got the 3rd prize 10K...after taxes we each got $365.

We were one number away from 7.6 million EACH after taxes. :banghead:

Never. Well..I have a friend who thinks scratch offs are a great Christmas present, so I usually get 2 in a Christmas card every year. But other than that...never.

I haven't played Powerball in years, and can't remember if I've ever played a pick 3 or pick 4 lottery ticket. I do occasionally buy a scratch off here and there, maybe 4 or 5 times a year. Most I ever won was $100.

My parents played the lottery fairly often, and my Mother hit the pick 4 on quite a few occasions, winning a couple thousand dollars a few times. We lived fairly close to the Maryland state line, and my Dad used to do a lot of biking for exercise. Almost every Sunday when the weather was nice, he would ride out to Maryland (about a 15 mile trek one way) and buy lottery tickets. This was before the days of Power Ball or Mega Millions. He ended up getting 5 out of 6 numbers, and won close to $20,000.

Never, unless we have an office pool -- because nobody wants to be the only person at the office the next day.

This! :lol2:

I may start. This perusing meth mouth day in and day out is getting old.

Never go out specifically to buy them, but if I'm walking into a gas station to buy a snack or something and I look up and I see that little red number there above the register and I start feeling saucy... yeah I'll throw down two bucks for a Powerball ticket.

Never.

But I have spent roughly one-third of my life standing in line behind people at gas stations buying them.

If this guy is in front of me and doesn't leave the counter:

my head spins around and I can't keep my trap shut.

Powerball of the gets real high, used to be the guy in charge of the work pool. But I buy scratch offs all the time. Usually I will just round off my change from my transaction and buy a couple.

Almost never, but if the Powerball gets to one of those ginormous numbers I may pluck down a 2 or 4 bucks.

Never.

If I was king, by the end of the first week we would have "lottery stores" and they would be the only places allowed to sell anything lottery. The rest of us may have something to do other than stop our world to watch someone trade in old scratch offs for new ones.

Other things annoy me more, but I can't think of one at this second.
