What type of Soda/Pop do you drink?

Featured Replies

I'm convinced that a lot of our societal weight problems come from "soft" drinks.

No question about it. Probably the single most effective thing we could do as a society to improve our health would be to cut out ALL soft drinks.

A part of the weight problem can be attributed to it, but soft drink consumption has been dropping rapidly, and weight loss is not trending with it. Too little exercise is the main culprit as people, especially kids, spend way too much time either in front of the tv, gaming or on their smartphones.

I rarely consume soft drinks. Water and coffee (non-polluted) are my primary beverages.

Blasphemy on the first part, and branch water I assume on the second...

This is a serious question since I don't drink alcohol, what is branch water?

It's water from a stream used at a distillery.

Ms. Slick drinks more diet dews than anyone I've ever met.

So what your saying is the next time you and her, me and the wife are together, we need to stock up on them......or buy stock.

Agree

Sodas, lack of exercise, technology, fast foods all contribute

It has been 6-7 years since I have had a soft drink, but I was partial to Fresca, Diet Cherry Coke, and Fanta if I remember. Glad I got off the stuff. Last year I did get sick after a 10 hour training day and I took in about 2 ounces of coke to settle my stomach. Same with post-Florida Ironman race, took in about 4 ounces of Ginger Ale.
I did Raleigh 70.3 two weekends ago. I bet I drank a 2-liter of flat coke.

Besides during endurance races the closest things I drink are ginger beer, sugar free red bull, and Not Your Father's Root Beer.

Currently on my desk at work......DR Pepper, Red Gatorade, Bottle water, Pepsi, Orange Crush, Lemonade mix.

Don't worry she always has one on her.

You would think yes, but no. My BP is perfect according to my doctor.

I think the "easy" thing for a lot of people is to say "stop drinking soda, you'll lose weight," and that's not always the case. I've stopped drinking soda for months at a time and lost little to no weight. I don't think it's as big of a factor as many think.

Or maybe I just don't drink enough for it to make a difference when I stop.

But it doesn't count when you replace it with beer :lol2:
