Bank of KY > BB&T Merger

That's pretty concerning that they don't know where it went to.

If they have acknowledged it's their error, why are they not putting it back? Have they given you an estimate on when it will be back?

I'm pretty confident they will give you the $30K back. :lol2: Should throw in an extra $100 for the inconvenience. No big deal.

But they're putting it back, right?

They say yes, but they have to find out why it happened first.

It should not be hard to see where the funds went. The loan was debited $30k. It is normally not hard to see the corresponding credit to that debit. This could be an employee theft issue.

BB&T is a pathetic excuse for a Banking Institution. I use to have my Home Mortgage with them about 10 years ago way before the Merger and it was a Daily Struggle. Terrible! I still have 1 loan with them because it was taken over in the Merger and haven't had any issues yet....Yet! If I could close it tomorrow I would but with it being a Rental property note it's not that Simple. I would suggest avoiding Banking with BB&T!

Just my Opinion!

I've had my mortgage through BB&T for four years and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

Wait, you're using money from the Home Equity line on your current mortgage to put down a down-payment on a second house?

It's none of my business and all...but if they sold their house, why aren't they using that money for the new house?

Just sold my house and I can't tell you how awesome it felt to see that payoff to 5/3rd.

Those idiots will call you to collect 5 days into your grace period.
