UKMustangFan
Got it. Threw it directly into the shredder. All I had through them was an HSA with my previous employer, which I've since used up.

plantmanky
NOTE Please correct me if I am getting any of this wrong..... As I understand it. Conversion from Bank of KY > BB&T happens after close on 6/19/15. 6/15/15 - Letters going out to Bank of KY customers with new BB&T account info via snail mail. 6/22/15 - New BB&T Debit cards, and how to order new checks notice go out. So in other words some may not get their new account info, until after their old Bank of KY account is closed and no longer usable. Also Ive seen on facebook (admittedly I did not read the fees section yet) that BB&T has fees for everything, call the bank with a question, $2 fee to even talk to them. plantmanky
What makes the merger controversial? Other than the board of Bank of KY got greedy rather than do anything to provide additional services to their customers, nothing. Its more about the timelines and switching of accounts process. I stood in line at BOK this week and listened to a bank employee explaining this to a very rude customer who wasn't happy with the merger. He was assuring her that she would have 1 year to use up the rest of her checks before she would be required to switch to BBT checks. She was loud so I got to hear all of her problems. I talked to a BofKY clerk too and she told me the same thing on the year for the checks. She also said we would get free checks the first time around. Also said we would have to reprogram all of our electronic banking. The way it was explained, it didn't sound bad but who knows what we are all not being told. Ok question to both of you, about Direct Deposits. The way the paper read, was that we didnt have to have it resetup, that they would send a hit back to the entity sending the Direct Deposit that they needed to change the info to xxxx. Excellent question. If I have to "reset" those up I am probably gone, if not, probably stay and see.
