July 29, 201511 yr Without looking I'd say it's about average but certainly better than 2. It's especially nice when the guy you took as a raw pitcher and 2 sport athlete late in the draft pans out and develops into a top 100 guy. After looking just inside the division the Cubs have 5, Pirates have 5, Brewers have 2 and the Cardianls have 3. Top 100 guys don't determine the overall ranking of a farm system but it's nice to have guys that are evaluated that highly. That's scary that the Cubs have 5 after the ones that they have already called up. Theo is building a monster.
July 29, 201511 yr Author ^ Beautiful! It's great to see our future ace have an outing like that especially after just trading our ace for the last several years in Cueto. The Reds pitching should be in good hands making trades of Cueto and hopefully Leeke and Chapman much easier to swallow.

That I agree with. 1 of those 5 is Schwarber who has already been called up but what Theo doing is still nasty. 4 top 100 guys to add to Schwarber, Rizzo, Russell, Bryant and Soler. This doesn't even include guys like Mike Olt, Alcantara and Baez. Baez in particular if not for his appearance last year would probably be a top 20 prospect in his own right and is a stud in the making but blocked by Castro right now. The Cubs need to move Castro acquire some more pieces and move Russell to SS making room for Baez.

July 29, 201511 yr Is that updated since the Cueto and Zobrist trades? Not sure. None of those involved are top 100 though in the newest rankings. Finnegan almost definitely would be, but he is no longer considered a "prospect".

Struck out the final batter in the 2nd inning, Struck out the side in the 3rd inning and Struck out the first 2 batters he faced in the 4th inning. 6 straight strikeouts, very impressive.

I'll definitely take that, considering his 1st inning. Lamb seems to be the overlooked prospect in the Cueto deal. Oddly enough, he might be the guy I'm most excited about.

I think he could end up being a steal for the Reds much like Alfredo Simon ended up being. He's got electric stuff and he's still young. As bad as Holmberg is I'd say there's a good chance Sampson gets thrown in pretty quick.
