I read the link and I still can't figure out if that is a joke or real. I went online to see what other websites have listed the story and didn't notice any reputable site with the story

I haven't seen Iowa play since Dr. Tom was the basketball coach. I don't get the sense that they've been setting the world on fire out there.

Assistant coach sues head coach...while still employed. And wants more authority this season. What's the chance that is going to happen? A head-scratcher for sure.

 

I wonder why he didn't confer with the former offensive coordinator before signing up. That guy apparently didn't care much for the head coach either.

Ferentz's attorney said the Iowa coach is reluctantly considering a countersuit, but is in the process of trying to figure out what the basis for it would be. "If I had to guess, I would say Kirk will file a counterclaim against Coach Davis for the wrongful death of the Iowa running game. That will be tricky because we would have to first prove to the court it existed in the first place."

It's gotta be. I can't think of any circumstance where an OC could even think this was a good move, or a HC that wouldn't fire the guy immediately. Look at the writer of the articles name in the byline. There are a few other things on that page that indicate this is satire...I'd point them out specifically, but they won't get through BGP's word filter.
