Sure they do. The sanctions were passed down because of the Football program. It has everything to do with Football.

He was hired by LCC.....but is he still there?..if so then what I heard was just a rumor.

In regards to Nathan, I believe he just taught one period of advanced PE, which was an elective. Also, and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought there was a statute allowing teachers to head up one periodout of their "certified" area? Almost positive he was teaching Social Studies most all of the day.

 

I just hope all parties involved, from the school, the community to Musick and the McPeek's can all move past this & from the sounds of it, they all have.

Gary was in Georgia this past year as well, in Northern Georgia. Nathan is an assistant at one of the best programs in GA, Tucker HS just outside of Atlanta.

No one is shocked. The smug denial is the thing that irks me. Hate it for the kids that were affected negatively by the improprieties.

I don't know him personally and he may be a good dude. This McPeek guy would get an immediate "No" from me if I were an administrator at a school he was inquiring about. Too much baggage. I'm not sure how he got away with all of this and is still coaching somewhere. Blows my mind.

I think he re-retired. Maybe I'm mistaken.

I disagree, these violations resulted in direct correlation with football: one football coach was given a position that he didn't show up for but was paid for, one coach was allowed to teach PE to given him a soft schedule even though he was not certified to teach that class, one football coach was allowed to teach the head football coach's classes for him and that coach was not even a teacher, and money was misappropriated to be used "elsewhere", guess where "elsewhere" was and the hiring process was interfered with to hire who? This was all about football.

I agree in that although this was a state "education dept." investigation, all of the illegal activities were done to promote / build the football program.

"Voluntarily":sssh: vacated his position, retired. Stay tuned though, he "retired" when all of the charges were proven true on the many illegal activities with football charges and the penalties about to be announced. ....Then he withdrew his resignation, returned to his superintendent position. (without notification or going through the proper channels required)

Every ONE story like this ruins the credibility of the rest of the fb coaches across the state when they go to admins looking for more for their teams or maybe just a little raise for themselves that might bring them to min wage of 1975 coaching football.

Nathan McPeek for example hasn't been there for almost 2 years and all kinds of schools let football coaches teach weights and list it under other Teacher's for all we know he could've had a planning period and went to be with his players. Why can't you people move on, everybody in Westwood is saying that Musick made the mcpeeks especially Nathan resign to cover his own tail. Guys leave these guys alone bill musick is what this investigation is about yet you post stupid things that nobody cares about. Sounds like you just can't move forward in life (raceland select fans)

No it's just nice to see you all complaining about it because we (select ram fans) did it while it was going on and you all looked at us and laughed. Not nice when it happens to you..........does it?
