The quote that I heard was that he was suspended from teaching and removed as AD and football coach. I cannot believe that I am backing up UK fan on something.

I read that as well. The school said they will make a final decision as to his status in the near future.

They do the same thing every person with substance abuse needs to do. Worry about today and getting healthy. Don't worry about tomorrow until you get there.

Ironically Friday was pink slip day, or the day that schools had to notify teachers if they plan to rehire them for next year.

Not entirely true. Teachers are held by a higher standard than most occupations. A DUI and/or drug conviction could mean the end of a career. Many other professions would say, get help, get healthy, and come back. I am not so sure that parents and school boards are (or can afford to be) as patient.
