Reds mentally weak?

Cozart is the least of their issues. He is a solid defensive SS just does not do it with the flash that Phillips does.

He swings at another first pitch I may throw my remote through the wall.

Let me be clear, he's not my favorite player either. I am just saying there are several more issues with this team than Cozart. He is their #8 hitter who is currently hitting .333 and provides pretty good defense.

Geez. They lose a few games and its the end of the world. Heck it's April. It's still early.:lol2::rolleyes::lol2::rolleyes::lol2::rolleyes::lol2::rolleyes::lol2::rolleyes::lol2::rolleyes::lol2:

I get so tired of first pitch swinging especially after the player before you gets walked. Cozart getting a big league check is a crime. It would be one thing if he was a good defensive player like Phillips, then his offensive numbers could be somewhat excused, but the fact that he shouldn't even be a triple A player drives me crazy.

Cozart is not a good hitter by any stretch of the imagination. However, he's well above average defensively. As a matter of fact he's probably one of the top 3-4 defensive shortstops in the NL. At this stage in their careers Cozart is a superior defensive player to Phillips.

There is no way that Cozart is even close to the defensive player that Phillips is. Cozart is a avg shortstop.

Correct. Cozart has been one of the best 2-3 defensive SS in the league the past couple seasons. He's outstanding with the glove. If he can hit .240 with an OBP that hovers around .300 from the 8 spot, he's the least of the Reds worries.

An average SS doesn't finish in top 3 of Gold Glove voting last year for NL SS.

Sorry but you are completely off base in regards to Cozart's defense. He's one of the best in the game in that regard.

Cozart should have won the gold glove last year. And if he can hit .240 or better out the 8 hole, he is a great asset.

Stop it. He had a great season in the field but not even close to Andrelton Simmons.
