How so? They have an offer and can relax. I would think the pressure would be on guys with no offers.

2 highly recruited qbs from NKY a few years ago have been in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Getting offers early is a good thing. How can you even say it's not?? Who wouldn't want the presure of school paid for. Lol.

Nobody said it wasn't a good thing. UKfan is correct that early offers at the QB position do raise awareness and expectations and thus pressure to perform.

It also makes every defense step it up a notch.

Won't be an issue with Morgan.

There's a reason Tanner has ACC offers. His arm talent is incredible for a kid that just turned 16. His mechanics are also very good. He's athletic enough and I've heard he absolutely loves football, which is a huge plus. Ryle has a chance to be really special with him at the helm the next 2 years

For a 16 year old kid that size is astounding. His ability to read the field and his arm strength looks damn good. The only criticism I saw on his film is his footwork. Sometimes his drops were choppy or it was just a back pedal instead of drop steps but he always gets his feet set and makes the throw sound. The kid deserves what he is getting and at that age its pretty amazing.

Coach Engler has coached several D1 quarterbacks and I know the last 2, Kyle Bolin and Reese Ryan, were praised for their footwork by recruiting gurus. (I don't know about the others because I didn't read recruiting stuff back then). So he should be able to improve in that area.

And footwork, specifically drops, doesn't take that long to improve. You can teach 3 and 5 step drops in 5 minutes. Tanner has the things you can't teach. They are either natural (arm strength, touch, intangibles) or take a while to develop like upper body mechanics and strength and size since he's close to 200 lbs. You can tell he's been in the weight room a lot. I'm excited to watch him play this fall

UC has offered.

Congrats to him. Saw him throw yesterday in some sort of 7 v 7 practice. 2 passes in a row 60 yards just over a covered receivers shoulder. His passes have zip, a distinctive sound. Almost like whistle.
