Can't stand any type of chewing tobacco, dip, none of it.

 

However, I am guilty of this & it started about 10 or so years ago (on the weekends & especially in the summer on the lake/by the pool); but when I get 2-3 drinks in, there is absolutely nothing more in this world that I want than to light up a smoke or two. Cigar/cig..doesn't matter.

 

Any other time? I can't stand the smell of them. How people light up in the morn with a cup of coffee is beyond me

I got in the habit of chewing pouches at work; basically don't do it anywhere where else but usually throw one in when I get to work.

People honking and spitting loogies grosses me out more than smoking.

I am surprised and disappointed in the number of young people I see smoking. My generation thought it was cool, and we were just finding out how harmful it was. Today everyone knows how bad it is. It is also gross and expensive. I do not see the attraction.

 

Totally agree. I just got back from a golf trip in Phoenix. The hotel/casino where we stayed (Talking Stick) was packed with smokers, many of them young. I actually had to get up from a black jack table one time because I was surrounded by three young (and I will say inconsiderate) smokers and literally had a hard time breathing. Just disgusting. When I see 20 somethings smoking, I just want to choke them...how can they be that stupid?

I smoked Marlboro cigarettes throughout high school. In those days cigarettes could still be advertised on TV, and as a 14 year old I knew I could be just as cool as the Marlboro cowboy riding his ranch in the commercials. And I could buy them for 25 cents a pack, which wasn't too bad on my finances as a concession worker at our local theater.

 

I stopped smoking when I entered my freshman year of college in 1972. I had a health class and one day the professor talked on the subject of smoking. He brought out a glass covered section of a lung that was from someone who had died of a smoking related disease. The lung was as black as tar. Then he passed around the room a glass covered section of a lung from a non-smoker who had died in an accident. That lung was pink/reddish in an appearance. That was enough for me. I went back to my dorm room and wrote on a piece of paper: "Today, July 11, 1972, I have permanently quit smoking." And then I signed it.

That's one habit I'm glad I don't have.

Bourbon or tequila. Both are nasty.

Cigarettes are one of the worst IMO. Growing up with smoking parents I can't how many times I was told to "Roll those windows up." I can't stand smokers that think they have the right to blow smoke at me or in my direction either.

 

The pile of cigarette butts at every red light intersection is so attractive for a community also. I can't stand it when smokers toss their butts out the window either driving down the road or while stopped at a light, ticks me off to no end.
