the game guy
Shumate from WKU is on the staff from all reports, why would he leave Western for this job?
NEERFAN
Shumate from WKU is on the staff from all reports, why would he leave Western for this job? I'm assuming the new coach would bring in his guys.
sweet16
Shumate from WKU is on the staff from all reports, why would he leave Western for this job? Maybe higher up on the coaching rank of the NKU staff

UK#1fanisback
The key to winning the Atlantic Sun is not recruiting Kentucky. Just my opinion. NKY kids are getting them wins!
UK#1fanisback
Why? He's trying to win and move the program forward at the D1 level. He is winning with local kids.
UK#1fanisback
How about he goes out and tries to get the best players possible regardless of where they're from? You're living in a fantasy world if you think kids from the NKY area are year in, year out good enough to form an entire team that can compete at the D1 level. NKY kids are playing great basketball in college this year.
UK#1fanisback
I'm not going to say anything negative about any specific HS player in NKY, but NKU needs to be bigger and better than a team of NKY All-Stars. I want kids that are better than "good enough". I want players at NKU that are "good enough" to be playing at UC, X, OSU, WVU, and etc. but find themselves at Northern. I several NKY kids playing great D1 ball. Williams, Bolden, McDonald and Wilson.
UK#1fanisback
That's because it isn't good enough to win at the D1 level. Give me one legit reason why you think they'd win at this level? Their winning at D1 level.
Wireman
NKY kids are getting them wins! If you say so.
UK#1fanisback
If you say so. McDonald is best player on the team. Williams is a starter also.
Wireman
McDonald is best player on the team. Williams is a starter also. They haven't won the Horizon League yet. Don't celebrate before league play even begins.
UK#1fanisback
They haven't won the Horizon League yet. Don't celebrate before league play even begins. They are still getting wins in D1 ball.
MJAlltheWay24
I several NKY kids playing great D1 ball. Williams, Bolden, McDonald and Wilson. I very much stand by my statement. To be a good and competitive team in Division 1, NKU needs to be bigger and better than a team of NKY all-stars.
