None of them. Are you really surprised a Federal judge from San Francisco ruled this way. It will be appealed. If the Ninth Circuit gets it, they will uphold it and it will go to the Supreme Court, where it will be axed, as it should be. Utterly ludicrous.
April 4, 201511 yr In all seriousness, the inmate probably needs lots of medical help for issues that he has, but this is taking it way too far. That type of surgery should not be something that burdens taxpayers. The article mentions that the Judge cited that the "surgery had been performed before" but it was also performed on someone who was deranged enough to castrate themselves and then the surgery performed because it was necessary, if that gives you any clue to the rationality that the inmate had going into the surgery.

April 5, 201511 yr Now, I have nothing against anyone who want this done, more power to them if that is how they feel. But at their expense, Heck, I wouldn't have an issue if insurance covered part of it, but not taxpayers.
