Players Who've Announced They're Leaving

Featured Replies

Guys, we are looking at an even more horrendous year of college basketball than what we are accustomed to. All the good players are leaving, and this upcoming Freshman class appears to be almost 2012 bad. If you do hang around, one could move up the draft boards by default. It was the main reason I hated seeing Cameron Payne leave. He is projected in that 18-25 range, but I believe he could be a lock first rounder if he returned.

Unlike a lot of others, I thought college basketball was strong this year...at least at the top. Duke, Wisconsin, UK, & Arizona were all really good. As much as I hate Duke, I thought they were really fun to watch. If the committee would have placed Arizona as the #1 instead of Villanova, it would have been a terrific Final Four.

I do agree with what you're saying about next season, although it should be more interesting locally because I expect UC & Indiana to be much better, while UK & UL will regress.

Yeah.

And you're entering the Draft.

I jinxed it. He just entered the draft....

UK is not going to regress.

I agree. The quality of the game is just going to continue to get worse every year.

UK is not going to regress.

Lost 7 of their top 8 players, the #1 recruit has eligibility questions, & I don't see a reliable scorer on the roster yet. The recruiting class could add some firepower, but no matter who they get, UK won't be as good next year as this year IMO.

Not so fast on IU IMO....I think Yogi is gonna leave.

I'm guessing agents are selling these guys on getting the clock started on their second contract. Contracts are going to skyrocket with the new salary cap here in a few years.

Definitely understandable and I understand why they are leaving. My reasons are more selfish.

And projected as the top team in the nation.

UK can regress and still be at the top of the heap. That's how bad NCAA hoops is getting.

That would make a big difference for IU if he left. I was assuming he'd stay.

The Nerlens Noel team was top 3 in the pre-season, if memory serves me right. This UK team might be projected the same in the pre-season, but I just don't see them ending it that way unless they land a couple more studs in the recruiting class. That's the big "if" IMO.
