Is he really an option? I tweeted about him right when the position opened and told KSR they should do a write-up about former UK players that might be in line for it. Met Coach Edwards very briefly when he was an Asst. with Pat Kennedy at Towson University.
April 1, 201511 yr How so? If you know who you want to hire, pull the trigger. That and the search firm cop out is a joke. If you are a D1 AD, have a list and execute the search/hire. The more time they waste, the more of a mess the hire becomes...

AD should have a list, be prepared (especially since the university executed the opening) and go make a hire. It's not the university was caught by surprise by the opening. Making NKU look like a mom and pop organization when it comes to athletics. Which is what most people look at them as already.

April 1, 201511 yr ... The person they wanted to talk to (or at least A person they wanted to talk to) has only been available for 4+ days. Agree with the Search Firm, especially in this case, being nothing but a hindrance and an obstacle. They fill the pipeline with their own "boys" and muddy the waters for what everyone knows are the right candidates. Especially Parker (and Fogler, who is the ABSOLUTE WORST). Mike Bobinski made several good hires at Xavier and never once used a search firm...believed being able to hire a MBB and a WBB (as well as football, where applicable) head coach should be his #1 responsibility. Agree with him wholeheartedly. He would have a trusted 2 or 3 people in the mix, and then the University President would meet his top choice at the end of the process. Period. Never had leaks, didn't have 1,000 candidates, didn't have Parker's ponies from all over the country that they'd throw into every opening...clean and simple.

That's what I was told when the firing took place. Also, have you heard anything on where Beez might land as an assistant?
