I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I thought this could be funny. What are some comments you've heard from your ladies while they were filling out their brackets? I heard:

 

"What's up with all these Iowa teams?"

"Who the heck is Stephen F. Austin? I guess their my upset team."

"I'm picking Georgia, they were tricky against Kentucky"

"How am I supposed to fill this out if I don't even know if Dayton won yet?"

 

and my favorite and most accurate:

 

"How the hell is this team in with 13 losses? And they're a 9 seed"

"Oh, those are pretty uniforms, I'll pick that team."

 

"Do I print the team name on or under the line."

 

"Their cheerleaders are bitchy, I'm not picking them."

"Why did you pick Texas? That's a football state".

What does LSU stand for?

...and the sad thing is they kick your butt!!

 

"Oh crap, I waited too late it started tonight."

I helped my girl fill one out online and she thought the Notre Dame logo stood for North Dakota. Haha

My BEST (when Richmond was in the tourney) ....."OH NO ! I Hate Spiders .... don't pick Richmond" and ... " That team is from Kentucky as well, put them in the final four ....we live in KY. "

Mine saves me a few bucks every year. Never fills one out!

So our 1st year dating....She does her bracket, but won't let me enter it into the pool at my or my Dad's work.

 

Her Final Four picks, which I ridiculed her mercilessly for, were Kentucky (because I love them), UConn (because she likes huskies), Butler (again, dogs), and Kansas (because they were the favorite). She had Butler beating UConn for the title...

 

The actual Final Four that year...Kentucky, UConn, Butler, and VCU. Kansas lost in the Elite Eight.

 

Had she allowed me to put her bracket in either pool, she would've finished no worse than 3rd. Had Butler won, she would've won either. The one at my Dad's work had a 1st place prize of nearly $10k. :irked:

 

She also picks whomever wins NKU's conference to win at least one game every year. She's looked brilliant the last two seasons. :lol2: She picked North Florida this year over Duke. :idunno:

 

The crazy thing is, she actually really knows and follows basketball. When it comes to the tournament though, she said she just likes to do the brackets for fun, and she finds odd ways to fill them out (like picking teams with dog mascots).
