The one at my Dad's work had a 1st place prize of nearly $10k. :irked:

$10 a piece, roughly 2,000 entries a year. Paid out over 10 spots....Got an email this year that after 19 years, the guy was no longer doing it. Really disappointing stuff. :lol2:

Man, I can't imagine winning that much money on a bracket. And I'd say that's a lot to keep up with especially if only one guy was doing it.

Yeah, in the email he sent out saying he was no longer running it he gave a lot of details and reasons as to why not. The main two were that he was no longer working with the company (had changed jobs over 5 years ago but still did the pool.) which made collections harder, and that during the tournament he spent more time on the bracket than he did his actual job.

I was thinking the same thing about him being crazy busy during the tournament. I would have just entered them all onto CBS or something and let the computer deal with it.

Our bracket at work is all on-line. One of our director's kids set up this program years ago and we've used it ever since. It's pretty sweet.

It was awesome how he did it. He would send an excel file that you could look at every bracket in, and you could see how the whole tournament would shake out based on the results of each and every game.
