hidinout Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Just for fun I thought I'd check out what news sources have to say about the biggest item in the news . The Hillary email scandal , which by nearly all accounts is a major issue . So first I went to CNN.com . The top of the main page has the helicopter crash as the lead . On the side column marked TOP STORIES are 10 topics but none of them about Mrs Clinton . Under a sub category " politics" 1/2 way down the page is the Clinton topic . So next I went to MSNBC . That was down right funny . A sad faced picture of T Gowdy with the large headline " Called Out -- how about YOU turn over all your PERSONAL emails " . Followed by a headline " GOP Gambit backfires" followed by a story on abortion . Then a large story encouraging Rush Limbaugh to leave the country . And it made me think , if you only get your news from these whack jobs its no wonder you think the D's :poop: doesnt stink . Is their any middle ground any more ? Can you watch impartial news anywhere ? I know fox has a conservative slant but they consistently run out liberal viewpoints on a daily basis . Does CNN and MSNBC do this ? I dont know , their slant is so awful I cant stand 30 seconds of it . I'm sure this thread will prob head down the crapper with the usual accusations but thought I'd give it a try .
hidinout Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Cant edit topic heading , left out " get"
75center Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 MSNBC is in a class by itself. I think you can get news out of CNN but the only way to really get the story is to hit all of the websites. I like to start at Drudge because he has links to everyone. It's actually fun to visit one after another, alternating conservative and liberal. When they do cover the same news the contrast is entertaining. Somewhere in all the garbage is the news.

Hillary's e-mail "scandal" is bigger news than the gang of 47 GOP senators trying to create a new Republican republic? Don't think so. Also, if you desire to conduct content analysis to make a claim of bias, strike while the iron's hot, not several news cycles later.
hidinout Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Serious question , I dont see an " ignore" icon on here , Is there one ?
lawildcat Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Serious question , I dont see an " ignore" icon on here , Is there one ? Go to your account and there is an ignore feature on the left.
ggclfan Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Serious question , I dont see an " ignore" icon on here , Is there one ? He can be a little annoying, can't he. Regarding the topic, I get most of my news from Fox but will also check out CNN. I have tried to watch MSNBC but just cannot. They are so over the top looney tunes, I cannot justify even 5 minutes of time with it - just a total waste of time.
jericho Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hardly anything on Hilary email on nbc, have to scroll way down for it.
75center Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hardly anything on Hilary email on nbc, have to scroll way down for it. Of course not, they're already in defense mode for her. Wonder if that water they carry ever gets heavy?
