We've all seen or heard simple bets made between friends that seemingly no one gets right.

What are some of the best you have?

I got this idea from this post in another thread.

What is the All-Time #1 earning R Rated Movie?

The Passion of the Christ

Another one.

What was the name and rank of the highest ranking soldier killed at the Little Big Horn?

Everyone knows it was Gen. Custer, right? Wrong! Lieutenant Colonel Custer...he was only a General during the Civil War.

What else do you guys have?

I used to bet people that I could write the letters of the alphabet in reverse order (Z to A ) and write them upside down - FASTER than they could write them from A to Z and right-side up..

I won far more often than not.

I have a pen that can write only color you want. I've won too many times to count with that bet.

Zero chance that one would ever come up in any of my bar conversations. :lol2:

Wow. I once read about one of the presidents who could list the alphabet that way with each hand at the same time. Makes my brain hurt thinking about it. I don't believe I could say them backwards without a lot of pauses and do overs.

This particular "talent" developed as a result of a Theories of Learning "massed vs. spaced practice" exercise. I got pretty good at it pretty quickly. It would probably take a couple of practice runs now that I'm in my declining years, but it wouldn't take long.

Only have done this at a house party but I can get a cork out of an empty wine bottle quicker than you can get it in the bottom of the bottle with out breaking the bottle.
