Jumper_Dad Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 We've all seen or heard simple bets made between friends that seemingly no one gets right. What are some of the best you have? I got this idea from this post in another thread. What is the All-Time #1 earning R Rated Movie? The Passion of the Christ Another one. What was the name and rank of the highest ranking soldier killed at the Little Big Horn? Everyone knows it was Gen. Custer, right? Wrong! Lieutenant Colonel Custer...he was only a General during the Civil War. What else do you guys have?
nkuclubbaseball19 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Can a mod fix the thread title please??
mcpapa Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I used to bet people that I could write the letters of the alphabet in reverse order (Z to A ) and write them upside down - FASTER than they could write them from A to Z and right-side up.. I won far more often than not.

Zero chance that one would ever come up in any of my bar conversations. :lol2:

I don't believe I could say them backwards without a lot of pauses and do overs.

It would probably take a couple of practice runs now that I'm in my declining years, but it wouldn't take long.
Big Slick Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Google some prop bets Amarillo Slim made during his life. Some really funny stories.
lawildcat Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I have a pen that can write only color you want. I've won too many times to count with that bet. All blondes?
MJAlltheWay24 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Three numbers that Michael Jordan wore in the NBA: 23, 45, and 12 (blood jersey because his game jersey was stolen). Many will guess 9 because of the Olympics.
cathbird Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I made a $100 bet last year that Tim Tebow will have more career wins in the NFL than Johnny Manziel. I like my chances.

TAC Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Only have done this at a house party but I can get a cork out of an empty wine bottle quicker than you can get it in the bottom of the bottle with out breaking the bottle.
cammando Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I can push a beer bottle through the center of my wedding band without damaging the bottle or the ring....
