Scott's Jake Ohmer, 41 pts away from 1000th point club

Featured Replies

Scott sophomore Jake Ohmer is 41 points away from the 1000th point club.

With 2 remaining games left on the schedule, (@ Highlands: cancelled, and Cooper: Friday) and a potential district tournament run do you think he will make it by the end of the year?

I sure hope so! Love watching this kid play!

He'll make it based on the math - averaging 22 per game and, barring one of the biggest upsets of the past ten years if Silver Grove beats them in the district tourney, they will have at least 4 more games. Should clear it pretty easily.

Not sure if the Highlands game gets made up, so with 1 regular season game left, 2 games in the district tourney, and at least one regional game, if he averages a little over 10 per game, he's there. I'd be shocked if he doesn't make make it.

I believe the scoring record for Scott is a little over 1900. If he continues scoring at his current pace, and stays healthy he shatters that record.

The last time I was in there I saw the board, it was around 1,570? Set by Chris Haynes in the 1980s. Jake will have no problem breaking that and being Scott all time leading scorer

Who is #1 on Scott's list?

I'll have to double check next time I'm in the building....I thought it was higher than that, but I certainly could be wrong.

Friday game with Cooper has been cancelled....so the drama continues

Now it could really hinge on how long he stays in against the Grove. Could see limited minutes and limited points, but if he's allowed to go the distance he could potentially get 30 or more.

Game on versus HHS tomorrow. Already rescheduled.

What year did the young man first play varsity?

Wow. That's a lot of points in two years especially when you're a frosh and soph.

A little far in advance to be cancelled, right?
