I have not seen Cummins play but Skinner is just a far superior athlete than anyone else I have seen play this year! With that said I thought she could be even better if she played more from the outside rather than as mainly a post player! Not a big around that could defend her of the dribble!! If she could knock shots from outside consistently she would be deadly! Maybe she can idk

23 ppg(7th in the state) 7 rpg shooting 49% form the field and 72% from the stripe. Now I'm sure you gonna tell me why Skinner is better. But POY is a very subjective award. Gotta take personal opnion out of the equation and look at the numbers. Numbers don't lie. What happened last yr should have no bearing on this yr's award. As well as if a player is a college commit or not. I'm not sayin Skinner is not a good player Ive seen her in action. She is a good player. But from the box scores I've seen lately her play has not been the same as Cummins. Goldie you will know more about her than I but from watching them both play Cummins has that knack for taking over a game and throwing the team on her back and willing her team to victory. While Skinner had 17 against us it was the quietest 17 pts I've ever seen. Never really took over the game. Just kinda going through the motions. Like I said Shes a good player but I've only seen her once this season and I'd like to have a better sample size but that isn't going to happen so I gotta go with what I know and Cummins is a special player that very few can contain. Usually if she has a low scoring night it's because her shot just was not falling. I've yet to see any defender shut her down.
