2. Coach Klette - best player leaves, still has a legit shot to win region

3. Coach Graham - preseason#1, only region loss to Scott

4. Coach Menifee - Campbell - possibly hottest team in region

If it's not the regional tournament winner by default, then it's always an interesting debate. The coach that wins the region anyway? The coach that unexpectedly makes a deep run in the district/regional tourney? The team that has shown the ability all season long to "do the most with less"?

 

For example, Clark County started the season ranked as high as #6 based largely on the return of Skinner. If they go on to win the region, Clark's Coach?

 

But the way the season has played out, there has been a LOT of parity. Six teams have won 16 or more games (although that is often as not a function of schedule), and ten teams currently have winning records. Scott, Clark and Mason have each lost only one 10th region game. If someone gets hot and makes a deep post-season run, what about that team's coach?

 

And which coach has vastly overachieved? Mason's coach, with a starting 5 of all sophs? Bracken's coach, whose Lady Bears advanced to the quarters of the All-A? Scott's coach, who has defeated Clark County and NDA, among others? Are these squads greatly exceeding preseason expectations?

 

Fascinating debate.

How many ranked teams have they played. GRC hs played 3 according to the latest rankings. Holmes. Sandra had 15 points and 12 rebounds. GRC lost in double OT.

 

Dupont Manual lost by 9 points. Sandra had 16 points and 8 rebounds

 

Franklin co. Lost in OT. Sandra had 25 points and 8 rebounds.

 

I am not saying she isn't a very good player, she is. IMO Sandra deserves POY this year.
