Hopefully a wakeup call for CCH before Tourney Time.

Hats off to Dixie - they came to play.

Exactly what Bluesport said. Hopefully a good wakeup call. But WOW! Congrats to Dixie for proving so many wrong! Did not see or hear but I'm sure they earned it.

I think Dixies size is just a bad match up for CCH.

I'm not being a wise guy at all but this is why you can't assume a run to the Sweet Sixteen. Anything can happen with high school kids.

Agreed! I think that's what makes high school basketball so exciting! Its fun to see how Dixie will (hopefully) keep their composure and not become complacent, to see how CCH responds and (hopefully) bounces back, to see how much confidence NCC and Holmes gain from seeing that the Blue Colonels are beatable.

Can't wait for March!

Coach Ruthsatz was plain and simply out coached tonight. His substitution of his players was abysmal. Dixie's zone had not only the CCH players confused, but Ruthsatz was confused as well. Dixie had some big boys, but Ruthsatz countered with a smaller and weaker lineup. Hopefully everyone will learn from this fiasco before the district and regional games.

The '04 Colonels can raise their glasses. Last team to run the table against 9th region opponents.

Didn't last year's team?

I don't recall any CCH fans making that assumption.

Didn't last year's team?

Yes, in the regular season. They lost to Holmes in District.

Dixie's size and length in the zone took away what Covcath wanted to do all night. Killed Covcath in the paint at both ends. They also took away the ball screen that Covcath likes to use against the zone

Schreck and Hedger both led Dixie with 14 each.

Thanks. I forgot about that loss.

As I said previously I'm surprised more teams don't employ the zone against CCH.
