As usual the government is leading from behind.

Well it is tax season, I knew I was getting something from behind.

All of my sisters and my mother have/had high cholesterol and mom was always bugging me to get mine checked. I must be doing something right that they aren't doing because my levels are just fine! Ha, ha, sisters! :smug:

I now only eat free range, organic, brown, homestead eggs....and whatever bacon is on sale

I've been into Wright Brand Bacon lately. Really good. Got some Broadbent Farms Bacon for a Christmas present and it was fantastic.

Hard to go wrong with any brand.

Used to cook in a frying pan, but that was miserable way to do it. Now, just lay it flat on a cookie sheet, put it in the oven, turn the oven to 400 (don't preheat), cook for 20 minutes. Simple, no mess and great results. (temp and time may vary slightly with the thickness of the bacon and oven variables).

Can you get the bacon crisp with the oven method? I like my bacon crisp, just a shade less than burnt.

Yes. You can get as crispy as you want. Do it, you won't regret it.

I will definitely give this a try.

What about grease splatter in the oven?

Bacon and eggs for lunch this afternoon. Health food!

Wife won't cook it any other way.

Can't help but think of this guy.

Never been an issue with me. You could probably use a sheet cake pan also.

Put the strips on one of these, set it on a cookie sheet. Pretty much foolproof.
