Seriously, this looks like a good hire for CCH. How long would Eviston stay at CCH? He seems to aspire to coaching at a higher level since he left NCC for Georgetown.

What's his coaching resume? How long was he HC at NCC? Where was he prior to that?

He didn't do a great job as OC this year. Maybe high school suits him better. He still tries to run his high school offense so I guess he would be better off in high school.

 

I thought he did a pretty good job wiht the offense the past 2 seasons. The Tigers had some key injuries on their offense, and to be honest they didn't have as much talent on that side of the ball as they usually have.

I would agree with this to an extent. In the big games his QB play was horrendous. I guess that's not all his fault.

If they can keep Eddie long term its an amazing hire. He knows what it takes to win great at getting the best out of kids. He was a great athlete himself and super smart. I dont think the guy ever even got a B in his life all As. Would be great not only for the football program but the school and the community as well. To keep him long term what other job will he have?? Fundraising campaigns come to an end...then what??

Funny thing about having a young family and being a coach. Sometimes you just have to go with what makes the most sense for your children and wife. Knowing Eddie, 2 years ago the OC position opened up at Georgetown. I haven't spoken with him for a couple of months, so I couldn't tell you whether these rumors are true or not. What I will not ever question is his loyalty. Eddie does not, "tuck his tail."

He coached QBs at Norwood, Thomas More, and then NewCath. When Mr. Schneider retired, he became head coach. Won 2 titles in 3 years, and was, IMO, a Brady Hitchew ankle injury away from 3. He is a very smart play caller and a bit of a gambler in key downs and situations.

His HS offense is the offense he ran at G-town when he played and won big. They averaged 37.6 and were ranked 15 in the nation in adjusted offense this year.

You clearly don't know Eddie, I doubt he's EVER tucked his tail between his legs and run from anything.

And you don't win 2 out of 3 and tuck your tail. Eddie is a great coach and CCH could not do much better than this, IF TRUE! And he's a GREAT guy.

Im willing to bet a lot of talented assistants would love to work with him. Maybe he can put CovCath football on the same page as covcath basketball.
