The walk-through and the live play are the same.

The ball was secured as the left was still on the ground; therefore, when he picked the left up, the right became the pivot foot.

Not correct. The left foot is the pivot because it was on the ground when he secured the ball.

If your definition was correct then not only was the walk-through play legal(it wasn't) he could have then put the left foot down before shooting.

Still a walk.

Just watched it. Picking up the pivot foot. Watch when the ball is secured.

My friend, it is clear you do not understand the requirements for a travel. Picking up the pivot foot is NEVER a travel on a shot.

How can a jump shot be legal if "picking up the pivot" foot is a travel?

Yes, they are.

No they aren't. Those are all different. Freeze frame it as soon as it hits 1:05, then again at 1:06, 1:08 and 1:09. All different. The one at 1:04-1:05 is a walk through example and yes it is traveling, but it just him showing you how to do the step. The other three are all legal.

Right foot is the pivot foot.

All of these are illegal.

They are illegal steps but allowed because refs refuse to call it a travel.

We have covered this already.

The pivot foot came back down on the ground before the shot.

It is a travel.

Right foot is the pivot foot.

All of these are illegal.

Again, you have no idea of the requirements for a travel.

Give me your definition of what has to happen for a travel to occur. It's a simple definition once you've established which foot is the pivot.

Let me hear it.

Well that's not what you've stated. You keep saying "picking up the pivot foot."

Frustration is growing on you because you know that the euro step is an illegal step in high school basketball.

There's no frustration on my part. Ive dealt for years with fans who do not understand the rules. Nothing new to see here.

You might want to go back and read ALL of my posts especially this one.

ART. 2 . . . A player, who catches the ball while moving or dribbling, may stop, and establish a pivot foot as follows:

a. If both feet are off the floor and the player lands:

1. Simultaneously on both feet, either foot may be the pivot.

2. On one foot followed by the other, the first foot to touch is the pivot.

3. On one foot, the player may jump off that foot and simultaneously land on both. Neither foot can be a pivot in this case.

b. If one foot is on the floor:

1. It is the pivot when the other foot touches in a step.

2. The player may jump off that foot and simultaneously land on both. Neither foot can be a pivot in this case.

Haha.

I understand the rules quite well.

No need to bow to your so-called authority.

If you watch the other three and think they are traveling, I can't help you. They are all different. Watch those other three and freeze frame them like I said then get back to me.
