Super Bowl for Free - 4th Row

I saw this a couple of days ago, very scary.

One of these days America is going to get hit at a big sporting event.

Blarney Stones. Meanwhile the NFL fired a security guy for posting a selfie while wearing his credentials.

That is kind of a stretch. What would the difference be between a terrorist sneaking into the SB or a terrorist buying a ticket to the SB?

Sometimes I think people have become so paranoid that it affects everything from sense of humor to common sense.

I agree with Guru. While on the surface this is a funny story, it could have gone a much different direction. If they snuck in, that means they were able to bypass those security checkpoints that ticket holders had to go through.

In this instance, it was all in fun. But hopefully the NFL bolsters security so something like this can't happen again.

The NFL is going to love this story :lol2:

What the NFL SHOULD do, rather than try to punish these guys, is work with them and get them to detail everything they did.

Definitely.

Agreed. This is pretty scary stuff really. If these two clowns can do it, people with bad intentions will easily be able to.

Ok, when everyone takes the tin foil off their heads in here and then can calm down a bit, lets talk about what happened.

1. I don't get why people are scared because of this. People have been sneaking into things since day 1. Anyone ever sneak into the drive in? I remember getting into the World Series game 2 in 1990 for free in the 7th inning. I was there waiting overnight for tickets to game 5 if the Reds came back to Riverfront to play that game. While we were waiting in line game 2 was still going on and we walked around the stadium and found one of the gates not being attended so we walked in and watched the rest of the game.

2. I ask this, if people are afraid of terrorist sneaking into the Super Bowl like these 2 guys did, what exactly is the difference in them sneaking in or buying tickets and getting in that way?

I think people need to take a break, step back and count to 10 and then realize how stupid this whole thing is.

The difference is that people are searched/wanded when they enter the stadium legally; if you sneak in, you can also sneak things in with you.

This is true, but things are supposed to be searched also by workers who enter.

I think the problem isn't so much that they snuck in, the problem is that security didn't search them or any packages they may have brought in with them.

I still don't understand the sheer panic by some in here. I would suggest those afraid to simply lighten up. Life is to nice to be scared of attending a sporting event because something thought up in someone's head may come true. A terrorist can still sneak about anything they want into games, even when they are being searched by hiding things in hidden pockets etc. in bags.

No reason to get worried imo.

I'm with VOR on this, I think it's a funny story. I'm just not a conspiracy theorists like some others. Life is too short to worry about silly things and take them out of context all the time.

It's not a "conspiracy". It's just a little concerning that these guys were able to sneak in to such a major event with such ease. Again, no harm done in this case... Thankfully.

The stuff you snuck into was "pre 9/11". Security for EVERYTHING is different now. While I am not losing sleep over two guys sneaking into the SB, Guru is correct. It does make you wonder how they got in and what they could have snuck in with them.

It is only a matter of time before we get hit with another major terrorist strike in the US. Having one at a major sporting event would certainly get the terrorists what they want - a lot of fear from the US population.

4th row? Smmmh! I wouldn't bother for seats that crappy.
