If Elkins doesn't play or is very limited I'm going to say Lincoln by 7

We can beat Lincoln without a healthy Elkins. A healthy Elkins makes a tremendous difference but we are still good enough to defeat Lincoln without him being healthy and he's not going to be healthy on Friday. We do have the players and talent to do it. We just need to believe we can do it. It's been proven that they can't stop Jeremiah. I think Hagen will become unstoppable as well on Friday and the Rebels win by 5-8 points.

I totally agree with ya PP but I think that if Elkins is hurt we sit him until he is 100%. We need him for the district tournament and region more than we do right now.

I couldn't agree more. I was surprised he played last night. As an observer with admittedly no knowledge of his injury I thought it was a mistake. If he's healthy, play him. If he's not, don't play him.

Boyle is still good without Elkins. But with his defensive presence, rebounding, and points in the paint...they could beat anyone in the state on a given night. Not saying they would, but they could. And that is reason enough to ensure he's healthy come tournament time.

If Colton's doctor tells him he can play then Colton is most likely going to try to play. I want a healthy Colton as much as anyone but I am not a doctor and I only have limited information about his injury. I do know that if a doctor says he can play he's going to try to play as much as his body allows. I don't know if it is right or wrong but I do know I would do the exact same thing if that's what the doctor told me. I admire his toughness and his desire to want to help his teammates and be there for them as much as he can. I'll continue to pray that he is able to heal.

Oh yeah, follow the doctors is what I'd do as well. Not questioning Elkins at all. I wouldn't expect him to ever say he couldn't play. In fact, he looked quite dejected sitting on the bench in his warmups before the game. I just didn't understand why he didn't come into the game till halfway through the 3rd. If a kid isn't healthy enough for a whole game then I don't think he's healthy enough to play.

Where's the "PP92's head will explode" choice?

I'll be operating the scoreboard so I'll be a nervous wreck while trying to remain professional. :lol2: :lol2:

Until Boyle proves that they can attack the zone, Lincoln will continue to win

And we definitely know for a fact that Lincoln County will run the zone for a full 32 minutes. They are scared to play Boyle County man to man and I don't blame them one bit. They know they can't keep up man to man. They run that zone against us better than any team I have seen and to date it has been our kryponite. Good coaching on their part because they know what happens if they try to man up Boyle County.

When he didn't play in the first half I didn't expect him to play. Once he came in I thought he was operating at about 60-70% but was still somewhat of an impact simply because of his presence alone. He ended with two blocks, one of which was a huge block on a Hager layup and still affected a couple of shots. He definitely needs to listen to his body but like I said, once the doctor says have at it I think it's going to be hard to keep any kid off of the court.

I was told before the game that if he played the first half that it would be for 2 mins. and out, in for 2 mins and out. They also said that he may only play the 2nd if he plays. We all know what happened. But like it was said in this thread earlier, he did make a impact in the game when he played.

I think Hagan will be more aggressive than the last game these two played. Hagan Tyler will be the difference maker this time around! Boyle by 5.

This game for BC comes down to Hagen Tyler getting more looks and taking more shots. If I remember correctly he only had 7 shots the first time and that just cant happen with one of the best SG in the state. Given Bell scored 35 he gave up some points on defense also. In the last match up Taylor also basically missed the whole 3rd quarter due to fouls and while Bell went on a 7-0 run himself, they also allowed Noah Young to step up and do pretty well in that spot when they had an opportunity to really take advantage of the situation. As far as Lincoln running a zone and not playing man to man I have to revert back to the old saying If it ain't broke, don't fix it. No doubt Boyle has a good team and Lincoln has always been considered one of the toughest gyms to play in around here, BCs gym will be packed and loud Friday also. It is going to be a war but I truly believe the pressure and difference in this game is on Hagen Tyler. Going to be a good one for sure.

I expect Hagen to have a tremendous game on Friday night. The last game left a bad taste in his mouth and I expect him to remove that taste on Friday.
