Sons of Liberty on History Channel

Featured Replies

Anyone else plan on watching this mini-series? Starts tonight at 8pm.

Watched the first installment last night and really enjoyed it. Can't wait until tonight

Dang it! Forgot to set the DVR.

Look for it tonight and the rest of the week. I'm sure they will have each episode shown several times, later in the evenings.

I will be watching, I love this kind of programing.

Also, when I was in Bucharest in June I met a producer who was working on the series at a place near my apartment that I would go to every day. I could tell he was from the U.S. and we started talking and he told me that they were filming a mini series for the History Channel just east of Bucharest called Sons of Liberty, at the time he said they were aiming a December air date. He had me hooked on the series within the first 15 seconds, as I said, it's the kind of show I love. He invited me to come by the set, but unfortunately this was three days before I departed for Bosnia and I didn't have time, I am now wishing I would have made time as it would be neat to watch it now and know exactly were some of the shots were filmed.

2nd episode last night was even better than the first.

Not sure I believe the exchange between Paul Revere and the British soldiers in the woods towards the end, but still awesome.

I've been hoping for another Patriot-like movie to come out about the American Revolution and this certainly is close enough. I'm loving it.

After watching the first two nights I don't want this to end. Wished it was a series lasting one or two seasons and not just a mini series.

It's not quite the same, but when does the series with the American Spies during the American Revolution come back? That was a good show too. I can't remember if that was a History Channel show or not though.

I think I'm going to be bummed when this one is over. Really looking forward to this third episode.

After its all said and done, I don't think I can say enough how much I enjoyed this mini-series. I'll probably keep it on my DVR for quite some time.

I'm sure there were quite a few liberties taken in the stories, but that doesn't bother me one bit. From my understanding, I don't think Paul Revere played anywhere near the whole in real life that they portrayed him as, but again, that doesn't take anything away from the mini-series in my opinion.

If you missed it, find the repeats and record them. It's definitely worth it.
