Hey Sweep, sounds like HHS softball made final roster adjustments today. I'm guessing the baseball final adjustments will be made very soon if not already completed. So a roster is inevitable. Unless ukfan already has it.

Noted...:thumb:

Is there anyone that is not on that roster that screams "ya got to be kidding me" kinda thinking?

I have been disconnected from the program since '09 and really wouldn't know who might or might not be missing from this roster.

This of course if this roster is official...anybody???

Anybody go an "official" roster yet...anyone?

No official roster yet.

The roster above is not official, several seniors were left off. Two being Noe and Heck.

How can it be official when the basketball kids havent even finished their season? Or are there not any basketball kids trying out?

Must be nice to have 95% of your team already in the cages and throwing all through the winter getting ready for the season. I know Basketball certainly doesnt have that luxury.

We all know it's not official. Consider the source!

I heard first cuts yesterday, is this right?

True.

Who and how many did they cut yesterday? Any varsity?

Not sure..

High school sports and competitive sports can be cruel and mentally devastating to youg men and women but hey its a learning experience even if a kid feels like they are slighted or cheated.

That of course is my opinion, so with that said I am not a big fan of posting any names of kids that have been cut.

I am sure if you want to know info on cuts etc, you could either private message JOAT, Tdy or Ukfan, they seem to have the most knowledge of whats going on these days...:thumb:

If somebody could get me that daggone roster I could tell you who made the team and who didn't...anybody, anybody got a roster yet??? JOAT ya got ur eeeers on...Cmon JOAT...

There will be a roster of the kids that "made" the team, not one that were "cut" from the team. Not a whole lot of sense in that one.

Roster...anyone...

Roster...anyone...

I do not believe there is a final roster just yet.

Wow...it has got to be close though right?

I know Coach B has some tough decisions but this is taking a little long don't ya think...

With unofficial count of 178 kids trying out for baseball one would think that the indoor facility is getting a little cramped even with all that new space:thumb:

How many days of tryouts have they had? The snow the week of 2/15 probably slowed things down quite a bit.

On top of that, sometimes tryouts can go on for 2-3 weeks so the coach can ensure he makes the right decisions.

In addition, Coach B could be waiting for a day like tomorrow (warm weather) so he can get the team out to the football field and see them throw the ball real distances (key for outfielders). Right now it's not really fair to outfielders if they are judged for their showing in an enclosed space. You can grade infielders inside since their drills don't need a lot of space but you can't get a true read on an OF without seeing them cut a ball off in the gap, throw to a base, etc.
